Metamask

This guide explains how to set up the Metamask App to interact with the BlockCaffeine project.

Installation

1. Go to the Metamask website, switch to the "Mobile" tab.
2. Scan the QR code with your mobile device or search for "Metamask" in your app store.
3. Download and install the app.

Creating a Wallet

1. Open the Metamask app.
2. Accept the terms of use and privacy policy.
3. Choose a password for your wallet.
4. Write down the seed phrase and store it securely. This is crucial for recovering your wallet.
5. Confirm the seed phrase by selecting the words in the correct order.
6. Once the wallet is created, you will be taken to the main screen.

Setup (Not)UniMa Blockchain

CAUTION

Make sure to be connected to the Eduroam network at the University or use a VPN to access the university network.

1. Tap on the menu icon in the top left corner.
2. Tap on "Add a custom network".
3. Enter the following details:
   • Network Name: UniMa Blockchain
   • RPC URL: https://fortuna.informatik.uni-mannheim.de:32779
   • Chain ID: 585858
   • Currency Symbol: UMETH
4. Tap on "Save".

Access EspressOS dApp

1. Open the browser tab on the bottom of the app (second icon from the right).
2. Enter the URL of the dApp, https://blockcaffeine.de.
3. After the startup animation, connect to your wallet by tapping the "Metamask" button.
4. You are now ready to order coffee!
